WHAT WE DO
Pieces with personality, made to feel at home.
At Woodendot, we create furniture and accessories that combine art, functionality and craftsmanship. We want each piece to bring warmth and character to your home, with a balance of form and usefulness that makes it a pleasure to live with.
Behind our simple forms is a meticulous design process. Nature inspires our shapes and finishes, while everyday life gives purpose to the details. We believe in simplicity with personality, creating pieces that inspire and bring harmony to the spaces they become part of.
Many of our pieces offer an additional function or conceal hardware within a clean form. That same care shapes our Made to Measure collections, where you can adapt a piece to your space through the dimensions and options available for each design.
We design with the years ahead in mind. Our ambition is to create furniture you will want to keep using and enjoying as life changes, with a character that continues to feel right in your home.
HOW WE DO IT
Crafted sustainably and locally in Spain.
Wood is at the heart of our furniture. We value its natural warmth and work with FSC-certified wood and wood-based materials, choosing what suits each design. Our pieces are made locally in Tierra de Pinares, including Íscar and the surrounding villages in Spain.
We care about making furniture that people want to live with for years. That intention guides our choice of materials and the way we develop each piece, with lasting usefulness and a design that can continue to feel right in the home.
Developed in Madrid, our designs take shape with these workshops, from the first prototypes to production. Their understanding of the materials helps us refine the details together.
The people who make our furniture bring years of experience to that process. Their work combines the precision of machinery with handwork and the judgement that comes from knowing the craft. We value their care and the knowledge they bring to every piece.
HOW WE CARE
Nature is at the heart of what we do.
Nature inspires our designs and reminds us to value the materials we work with. That connection shapes the way we create and the care we want to give each piece throughout its life.
We work to make more responsible choices, using FSC-certified wood-based materials and producing locally. We also seek packaging made with recycled and recyclable materials, choosing suitable options that offer the protection the piece needs on its journey to your home.
We plant one tree for every product sold. Through Vida Initiative in European countries, we assess furniture and components to recover everything that can be given another use and recycle what cannot be reused. Caring for what we make also means thinking about how its value can continue when its first use comes to an end.
WHY WE DO IT
There’s just one way for us to create and that is with intention.
We bring together what inspires us and what people need from their homes, exploring how a considered design can make everyday life more enjoyable.
Every new piece should have a reason to become part of our collection. We want it to express what we believe in and the dedication and care behind its creation, bringing something of value to the home that welcomes it.
That care guides us from the first idea to the finished piece. It keeps us exploring how our designs can better serve the people who live with them.
OUR STORY
Born in Madrid from a shared love of design.
Woodendot began in Madrid in 2012, founded by Daniel García Sánchez and María José Vargas. They shared a love of furniture design and the wish to create simple, thoughtful pieces that people would enjoy living with.
Their ideas took shape through a close relationship with the workshops of Tierra de Pinares. That connection continues today, including our Made to Measure collections, created to make furniture sized to real homes more accessible.
