I did buy recently two Pelican shelves ( small and medium ). They are really nice together. I am satisfied with the design, quality , service and company policy. I can only recommends product from Woodendot.

My shelf is really beautiful and well done, so I love it.
But the assembly was surprisingly difficult. The shelf consists of a wooden shelf and a metallic part with hooks. It came all assembled, so at the first attempt, we did not read the manual (why would you read the manual of something that comes in one solid piece?) and tried to hang it as it is - and couldn't succeed, as it's designed in the way that first, you have to hang the metallic part and then attach the wooden part to it with very tiny screws. After we figured it out, we disassembled it and did the right thing; that was also not very easy because of those tiny screws that you have to screw in a shelf of intricate form. I understand that some pieces can be challenging to assemble for the sake of style, but I would prefer it to come disassembled then so we would not waste time on confusion and disassembly.

When shipped separately, there’s a risk that one piece might move during transit and cause damage to the other—specifically, the metal could potentially scratch or dent the wood. To avoid this, we ship the pieces pre-assembled for added protection.
If you take a look at the instruction manual, you’ll notice that we highlight the importance of installing the metal piece first, followed by the wooden one. That said, we truly appreciate your feedback and will take note of it to improve our communication and clarify the process for future assemblies.

I 100% recommend buying from Woodendot. The work of their employees is incredible and the products are of supreme quality.
We enjoy our new bed nighttables it is outstanding piece of furniture. Assembly is quite easy but two suggestions. First, it would be great to avoid the need of assembling and disassembling to avoid scratches. Second, printable template would be super helpful to messure/try/imagine how to fit the piece on the wall.
