What we are made of
The feel of a surface and the warmth of a finish help shape how a piece of furniture belongs in your home. Our choice of materials begins with that relationship, with care for how each piece will be used and for where its materials come from.
We consider the origin of each material and the role it plays in the design, including how components can be replaced where the construction allows it. From our standard pieces to Made to Measure, our aim is to create furniture you enjoy living with and want to keep.
Wood
Wood has been at the heart of Woodendot from the beginning. Its grain and warmth give our pieces a character that feels familiar at home, and remind us of the landscape and people behind them.
For our founder, Daniel García Sánchez, that connection began in childhood in Íscar. Today, our pieces are made in Tierra de Pinares, in Íscar and the surrounding villages, where working with wood is part of the region’s shared history.
We work with solid oak, walnut, beech and ash, as well as birch plywood, high-density fibreboard and wood veneers. Each construction serves a different purpose. Discover each collection to find the materials and finishes used in its pieces.
Care for the forests
The forests behind our materials matter to us. We work with FSC-certified wood and wood-based materials, supporting responsible forest management. Choosing where our materials come from is part of the care we put into each piece.
We plant a tree for every product sold. It is a commitment that grows with the homes our pieces become part of, and one we continue through our tree-planting programme.
