The percentages below show our average allocation across Woodendot’s standard and Made to Measure collections. Each piece has its own cost structure, so this is an overview rather than an itemised calculation for every product.
The margin included in our prices supports this work and the day-to-day running of Woodendot. When a product is on sale, the discount comes from our margin.

42% Running Woodendot.
This share supports the people and everyday work behind Woodendot, from developing a design to helping you with your order.
The operating costs covered here include:
- Team: the people who develop our furniture and keep Woodendot running.
- Product development: exploring ideas and developing new designs for our collections.
- Marketing: sharing our designs and staying in touch through our communication channels.
- Rent and services: our office and warehouse.
- Technology: the equipment and digital tools we work with.
- Company fees: required administration and legal formalities.
21% Materials and local production.
The choice of materials shapes how a piece looks, feels and can be made. We use FSC-certified wood and select materials to suit the construction and purpose of each design.
Our furniture is made in Tierra de Pinares, the region that includes Íscar and its surrounding towns in Spain, with workshops whose knowledge of materials has grown over years of work.
This part of the price supports the materials and local production behind each piece. It keeps that knowledge close to the design, whether we make a standard piece or a Made to Measure configuration for your home.
20% Taxes and fees.
The 20% represents an average allocation to taxes and fees across our sales. The taxes included in your order are shown at checkout. Any additional import charges depend on the conditions for your delivery country.
9% Transport and delivery.
This share covers transporting your piece from our warehouse to its delivery address, including insurance against transport damage. Delivery is part of the care that helps a piece reach your home as intended.
5% Order preparation and packaging.
This covers preparing each order and protecting its components for the journey to your home. The preparation and assembly required depend on the piece; Made to Measure furniture is designed for you to assemble following its instructions.
We aim to make as much of our packaging recycled and recyclable as possible, while protecting your piece during transport. The materials available from our suppliers and the needs of each design shape what we can use.
2% Payment processing.
This share covers the fees charged by the payment platforms connected to our online store when you place an order.
1% Tree planting.
Planting one tree for every product sold is part of the responsibility we take for the materials we use. This share supports that ongoing commitment through Tree-Nation.
