Assembly and Packaging
Smart Assembly
All of our pieces are pre-assembled which means they are already ready to use. Our smart assembly is simply connecting these pieces together using provided hardware. This process is easy and does not require any special tools.
Packaging
Our pieces are flat-packed to assure security during transportation, easy lifting and carrying as well as to reduce its carbon footprint. The packaging itself is also eco-friendly with almost zero use of plastic.
FAQ
How much weight can I put on top of it?
Alada is designed for you to comfortably place your arms in a natural posture while you work, plus your computer and other small accessories. Alada holds approximately 30kg of weight.
Will it hold my laptop (Macbook) or computer?
Yes, Alada will hold any laptop without a problem. It’s also safe to place a desktop computer, however since it won’t fit in Alada’s back storage space, you will need to keep the desk open at all times.
Can I keep it open all the time?
Yes, you can keep it open at all times without a problem. The only important thing is not to lean your body weight on it or sit on top of it since this is not a desk with legs.
How does it keep close?
With the help of a minimal stopper that fits in a small hole on top of Alada’s shelf.
Can I install it on drywall?
We do not recommend installing it on drywall since we cannot guarantee the wall will hold the weight of the desk. The recommended wall type is traditional cement.
If you decide to install it on drywall, please add extra support for your wall.
Can I order a custom color?
Yes! You can order custom wood colors by just reaching out via our web chat or by sending an email here.
Requesting a customized color has an extra cost of 40€ per color, it doesn’t matter how many pieces you decide to change the color of.

Additionally, its minimal design is key in the uniqueness of its functionality. When folded, Alada allows for an invisible storage perfect for gadgets or notebooks. Built using solid Oak wood and Ash/Oak plywood all mechanic pieces in the design are hidden adding to Alada’s decorative characteristic.
In 2020 a lot of things were happening at the same time, we found ourselves in complete new situations and started researching how to solve those needs that were now present in the “new reality”
However, we realized there was a missing piece to complete the creation process…you! We asked you to help us design our new product, and together we created ALADA.
