FAQ
What does the five-year warranty cover?
Our five-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage caused by incorrect assembly or installation not carried out or authorised by Woodendot, misuse, accidents, unsuitable environmental conditions, modifications not approved by Woodendot, or normal wear and tear.
Are Woodendot pieces designed to last?
Yes. Longevity guides every stage of our design process, from material selection and construction to finishes and fittings. With appropriate use and care, each piece is designed to remain a lasting part of your home.
What materials do you use?
Wood is at the heart of our collection. We select quality woods, including FSC-certified wood, together with durable finishes and components chosen for their performance and character.

How should I care for my furniture?
Follow the care instructions supplied with your piece and shown on the relevant product page. As a general rule, avoid overloading the furniture, prolonged contact with moisture or heat, and abrasive cleaning products. For routine cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry the surface afterwards.
Are variations in natural wood considered defects?
No. Grain, tone and texture naturally vary from one piece of wood to another and may differ slightly from website images or samples. These variations are part of the material’s authentic character and are not manufacturing defects.
Finish samples may be ordered through our website when available. Because wood is a natural material, a sample is a useful colour reference but cannot guarantee an identical grain or tone in the finished piece.
What dimensional tolerance applies to Made to Measure pieces?
All dimensions of every Made to Measure piece are subject to a manufacturing tolerance of ±1 cm. A variation within this tolerance is not considered a manufacturing defect.
What is the Vida Initiative?
The Vida Initiative reflects our commitment to taking responsibility for the pieces we create throughout their life cycle. When you no longer need a Woodendot piece, we can help you explore the most suitable way to give it a new life or recycle it responsibly.
