Drawing inspiration from the exploration of geometric shapes, DUNA embodies the organic undulations of desert dunes, creating a visually captivating piece that evokes a sense of movement and fluidity. Through meticulous planning and experimentation, we found a way to bring this vision to life, marrying contemporary design trends with innovative production techniques to craft a truly exceptional piece of furniture.
The evolution of DUNA into an auxiliary table was a natural progression, born out of the inherent adaptability of its design. By joining two stools together, we unlocked a new realm of functionality, allowing users to seamlessly transition between seating and surface space according to their needs. Whether it's concealing storage within the stools or providing additional seating for guests, DUNA empowers users to tailor their living space with ease and elegance.
The possibility of creating a table by joining two stools together seemed innovative, aesthetic and above all functional, allowing the client to adapt the furniture according to their needs.
"For example, if inside the stools you store blankets, by joining the two together you can hide that storage and obtain an auxiliary table to support objects. If at some point you have visitors and need seating for your guests, you can separate the stools without any problem and use them as seating." - designer Raquel Hernández.

The initial prototypes were made to match a stool and make it the perfect size for a table and a sitting space. The finish of DUNA came at a later point.
