Crafted in Spain

Our pieces begin with an idea in Madrid and take shape in the workshops of Tierra de Pinares, in Íscar and the surrounding villages. Working closely with the people who make them keeps us connected to each design, from the first prototype to the finished piece.

We choose materials with care, including FSC-certified wood and wood-based materials, and work with local professionals whose experience helps give each piece its character. Their knowledge is part of what we bring into your home.

The woodworking roots of Íscar

Íscar lies in the province of Valladolid, in the heart of Spain’s Tierra de Pinares. The surrounding pine forests are part of the landscape in which Woodendot’s story began.

Across this region, working with wood has shaped livelihoods and family histories. Its workshops carry knowledge built over generations, and we value being part of a place where that experience is still at work.

Making our furniture here keeps us close to that shared history. We want to help it continue, through designs that bring local skill into the homes of people far beyond the region.

Master woodworkers

Íscar is the hometown of our founder, Daniel García Sánchez. Woodworking has shaped the town’s working life and the stories of many families, including his own.

Around the town, pine forests sit alongside workshops and businesses centred on wood. They are part of a landscape in which the material has a place in everyday life as well as in work.

Generations of families have learned to understand the material through years of working with it. That knowledge is carried forward in the workshops, through the judgement and care people bring to each piece.

Daniel grew up with that knowledge close to home. His grandfather worked with wood for much of his life, and his father later opened his own workshop. Those family ties helped shape the way Daniel approaches design and the people he chooses to work with.

Our warehouse in Íscar

Our pieces are made in local workshops in Íscar and the surrounding villages. The work combines the precision of machinery with handwork, guided by people who know how each material behaves and what each design needs.

We develop our designs in close conversation with those professionals. Their experience helps us refine the details, and their care becomes part of the character of each piece. Keeping these relationships local allows us to contribute to the region’s woodworking industry and value the people behind it.

Our warehouse in Íscar is also a place for developing ideas, making prototypes and testing them with the workshops. That collaboration continues in our Made to Measure collections: each order is made individually, with the same attention to the furniture’s proportions and the space it is made for.
